Best GEO Tools for B2B Brands (2026) — Ranked & Reviewed

The 10 best GEO tools for B2B brands ranked by citation tracking depth, engine coverage, and B2B buying-journey fit. Temso leads; see every tool rated.

Bottom line

Temso is the top GEO pick for B2B brands in 2026: it tracks citation share across 8 engines — including the ChatGPT and Perplexity channels where 73% of B2B buyers now research vendors — and ships the content and fixes to win the next citation, all in one flat platform from $29/mo.

Last updated June 2026. Pricing, feature sets, and G2 ratings verified against vendor websites and public review platforms in June 2026. Ratings updated quarterly; see /methodology.

TL;DR

73% of B2B buyers now use AI chatbots when researching vendors — and 69% have switched to a vendor they discovered through an AI recommendation rather than one they already knew. Citation share inside generative engines is no longer a content-team vanity metric; it is a pipeline variable.

The 10 tools below are ranked by how well they close the complete B2B GEO loop: tracking where your brand appears (and does not appear) in AI answers, identifying which content gaps create the problem, and executing the fixes. Temso ranks first: it covers 8 engines at the lowest entry price in the category, and it connects monitoring directly to content creation and distribution without requiring a second tool. For teams that need the deepest citation intelligence at enterprise budget, Profound is the benchmark. The full ranking is at /rankings/geo-tools/for/b2b.

Why B2B GEO matters now

The numbers that changed the calculus in 2026:

  • 73% of B2B buyers now use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity in their vendor purchase research process — multi-source analysis of 680 million citations (PR Newswire / Loganix, Mar 2026).
  • 51% of B2B software buyers now begin purchase research in an AI chatbot, up from 29% one year earlier (G2 “The Answer Economy” AI Search Insight Report, Apr 2026).
  • 69% of B2B software buyers chose a different vendor than initially planned based on AI chatbot guidance; 33% bought from a vendor they had never previously heard of (G2 survey of 1,076 B2B buyers, Apr 2026).
  • 61.9% of the time, brand mentions disagree across Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and ChatGPT — meaning being cited in one engine does not mean you are cited in another (BrightEdge AI Catalyst research, Jul 2025).
  • Gartner projects traditional search engine volume will drop 25% by 2026 as AI chatbots absorb queries (Gartner press release, Feb 2024).

The structural conclusion: a B2B brand can have strong SEO, a polished website, and a healthy backlink profile — and still be completely absent from the AI answers that now drive more than half of initial vendor research. A dedicated GEO programme is the only mechanism for diagnosing and closing that gap.

1. Temso

Best for: B2B SaaS and mid-market brands that want tracking and GEO execution in a single tool at a flat, accessible price.

Pricing: From $29/mo (free trial, no credit card required). All 8 engines included on every plan — no per-engine add-on fees.

Key features: AI citation tracking across 8 engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI); built-in AI workflow that converts citation gaps into prioritised fixes; brand perception and sentiment tracking; hallucination and accuracy monitoring; 5-minute guided setup.

Pros:

  • Broadest engine coverage in the category at the lowest entry price — 8 engines on the $29/mo plan with no per-engine surcharges
  • Closes the full GEO loop — monitor, prioritise, create, distribute — without switching tools
  • Fast onboarding requires no AEO specialist; setup is guided and takes under 5 minutes

Cons:

  • No traditional SEO features (backlink indexing, keyword rank tracking) — requires pairing with a conventional SEO tool for teams that need both surfaces
  • Newer brand with a smaller public G2 review footprint than Profound or SE Ranking; teams that require years of documented enterprise case studies will need to evaluate accordingly

External rating: Listed on G2 in the Answer Engine Optimization category; no verified aggregate star rating publicly confirmed at time of research.

Verdict: The easy, all-in-one AI SEO platform for B2B teams that need to track generative citations and act on them without hiring a specialist or paying enterprise pricing.

2. Profound

Best for: Mid-market and enterprise B2B brands with dedicated AEO headcount that need the deepest citation intelligence across 9+ LLMs.

Pricing: Starter $99/mo (ChatGPT only, 50 prompts — limited for a real programme); Growth $399/mo (full engine coverage, 100 daily prompts); Enterprise custom.

Key features: Answer Engine Insights across 9+ engines; Prompt Volumes showing real-world B2B query demand; visual citation maps pinpointing exact URLs pulled into AI answers; autonomous content-creation agents; G2 AI Visibility Dashboard integration; Shopping Intelligence for AI commerce tracking.

Pros:

  • Widest engine coverage and most granular citation-source attribution in the category
  • Prompt Volumes reveals actual B2B buyer search demand before it hits your site
  • G2 2026 Best Software Award recognition signals strong enterprise credibility

Cons:

  • Effective entry for a real AEO programme is $399/mo — 3–4x more than comparable alternatives
  • No multi-account workspace, ruling it out for agencies managing multiple clients
  • CDN-based traffic attribution has gaps for pure SaaS and smaller B2B brands

External rating: Recognised in G2 2026 Best Software Awards (AI category); specific aggregate star rating not publicly confirmed.

Verdict: The enterprise GEO benchmark for B2B brands with the budget and headcount to extract value from its deepest-in-class citation intelligence.

3. AthenaHQ

Best for: Mid-market B2B SaaS and financial-services brands (50–500 employees) that want a pure-play GEO platform with built-in content workflows and clear pipeline attribution.

Pricing: $295/mo self-serve (3,500 credits/mo included); Enterprise custom. No free tier; free demo and audit available.

Key features: Unified citation tracking across ChatGPT-4, Gemini Pro, Claude, and Perplexity; Athena Citation Engine (ACE) proprietary citation-probability scoring; Action Center that prioritises specific content to fix with reasoning; integrated content production (briefs, outlines, full articles); revenue attribution overlaying AI mention velocity with GA4 and Shopify data.

Pros:

  • Highest G2 rating in the GEO category (4.9/5)
  • Action Center tells B2B teams exactly what to fix and why — not just what is broken
  • Unlimited seats eliminates per-user cost escalation for growing B2B teams

Cons:

  • Credit-based pricing creates unpredictable costs at scale
  • Covers only 4 LLMs — narrower engine coverage than Profound or Scrunch
  • No SOC 2 Type II certification may fail enterprise infosec reviews in regulated B2B industries

External rating: G2: 4.9/5 (33 reviews as of June 2026).

Verdict: Best pure-play GEO platform for mid-market B2B teams that need an action-oriented workflow and revenue attribution, not just a monitoring dashboard.

4. Scrunch AI

Best for: Enterprise B2B brands and agencies that need SOC 2 compliance, broad LLM coverage (up to 9 engines on Enterprise), and the ability to serve AI-optimised content directly to LLM crawlers.

Pricing: Core $250/mo (4 LLMs, 125 prompts, 5 users); Agency Core $500/mo (3 brand workspaces, unlimited users); Enterprise custom. 7-day free trial.

Key features: Multi-LLM monitoring across up to 9 platforms on Enterprise; Agent Experience Platform (AXP) that serves AI-optimised content to LLM crawlers without changing the human-facing site; agent traffic analysis via CDN integration; AI Search Trends for emerging B2B query discovery; SOC 2 Type II, RBAC, and SSO/SAML on Enterprise.

Pros:

  • Most feature-complete GEO platform: monitoring, auditing, optimisation, content delivery, and enterprise security all covered in one product
  • AXP is the only production-grade mechanism for serving AI-optimised content directly to crawlers without altering the public-facing website
  • SOC 2 Type II passes the rigorous infosec reviews common in B2B enterprise procurement

Cons:

  • Core plan covers only 4 LLMs — meaningful enterprise B2B monitoring requires the custom-priced Enterprise tier
  • No general-purpose AI content generation yet (on 2026 roadmap)
  • Third-party review scored actionable insights at 2/5, noting that optimisation features are still in beta

External rating: G2: 4.6/5 (72 reviews as of June 2026).

Verdict: The enterprise GEO platform for B2B brands that need SOC 2 compliance and the unique ability to push AI-optimised content directly to LLM crawlers.

5. Peec AI

Best for: B2B marketing agencies managing multiple client accounts and mid-market SaaS brands wanting clean daily monitoring with unlimited seats.

Pricing: Starter €85/mo (50 prompts, 3 models, 1 project); Pro €205/mo; Advanced €425/mo (multi-country, Looker Studio); Enterprise custom. EUR-denominated; Claude and Gemini AI Mode are add-ons on non-Enterprise tiers.

Key features: Prompt-level citation tracking across 9+ engines with daily updates; share-of-voice benchmarking; source attribution and gap analysis identifying specific URLs driving competitor citations; Actions feature turning gap data into a prioritised execution queue; unlimited user seats on every plan; free pitch workspaces for agency new-business development.

Pros:

  • Unlimited seats on all plans — the only major GEO platform without per-seat fees, making it genuinely agency-friendly for B2B client management
  • Best long-tail engine coverage including DeepSeek, Llama, and Grok
  • Transparent published pricing significantly below enterprise-only competitors

Cons:

  • Actions feature identifies what to do but does not execute — a gap for lean B2B marketing teams without content bandwidth
  • Claude, Gemini AI Mode, and other specific models are paid add-ons that raise the effective price beyond headline tier
  • No SOC 2 Type II disqualifies from many Fortune 500 B2B procurement processes

External rating: No public rating yet.

Verdict: The best-value GEO monitoring platform for B2B agencies and mid-market SaaS teams that need unlimited seats and daily citation data without enterprise contracts.

6. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Best for: B2B SEO professionals and agencies already on Ahrefs who want the broadest AI visibility dataset for competitive benchmarking across buyer-journey queries.

Pricing: $199/mo per single AI platform index; $699/mo all-platforms bundle (2,500 custom prompt checks) — both are add-ons requiring a paid Ahrefs base plan from $129/mo. Total effective cost can exceed $800–$900/mo.

Key features: 405M+ search-backed prompts across 6 AI platforms derived from real keyword queries; share-of-voice benchmarking against unlimited competitor domains with zero setup; top cited pages and domains analysis for B2B opportunity identification; historical AI visibility data from May 2025; Looker Studio connector, API and MCP access; bonus YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok brand visibility (beta).

Pros:

  • Largest prompt database derived from real search queries — high relevance to actual B2B buyer behaviour
  • Zero setup means any competitor or prospect brand can be researched instantly, without a lengthy onboarding process
  • Integrates AI visibility with the backlink and keyword data B2B SEOs already rely on inside Ahrefs

Cons:

  • AI tracking is an expensive add-on on top of an existing Ahrefs plan — meaningful coverage has a high total monthly cost
  • AI chatbot data refreshes monthly rather than daily — too slow for fast-moving B2B category dynamics
  • Monitoring-only: no built-in content optimisation or GEO fix recommendations

External rating: G2: 4.5/5 (702 reviews); Capterra: 4.7/5 (575 reviews) — ratings reflect the Ahrefs platform overall, not Brand Radar specifically.

Verdict: Best for B2B SEO teams already in the Ahrefs ecosystem who want competitive AI visibility benchmarking layered onto existing backlink and keyword research.

7. Otterly.AI

Best for: B2B SMBs, freelancers, and small agencies establishing a GEO baseline for the first time on a limited budget.

Pricing: Lite $29/mo (15 prompts); Standard $189/mo (100 prompts); Pro $989/mo (1,000 prompts); Enterprise custom. 14-day free trial, no credit card required.

Key features: Prompt-level citation tracking across 6 platforms; GEO Audit Engine assessing any URL across 20+ on-page citation-readiness factors; AI Prompt Research drawing on 10M+ daily prompts to surface B2B conversational queries; automated weekly brand reports with competitor comparison; public API (launched June 2026) and 101+ marketing workflow templates.

Pros:

  • G2 High Performer (AEO category, Winter 2026) and Gartner Cool Vendor 2025 — strongest third-party recognition for its price tier
  • GEO Audit Engine helps B2B content teams identify and fix specific citation-readiness gaps page by page
  • Weekly automated reports are practical for B2B marketing teams reporting to leadership without manual effort

Cons:

  • No competitive benchmarking or execution workflows on the $29/mo Lite plan
  • Sharp price jump from $29 to $189/mo is a barrier for B2B teams that outgrow the 15-prompt limit quickly
  • Does not cover Claude, Grok, or Meta AI — leaving gaps for B2B buyers who use enterprise AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot

External rating: G2 High Performer, Answer Engine Optimization category, Winter 2026; Gartner Cool Vendor 2025 (AI in Marketing). No verified aggregate star rating publicly confirmed.

Verdict: The most-recognised entry-level GEO tool for B2B brands starting their citation-tracking journey, with solid audit features but a steep step-up from the starter plan.

8. SE Visible (SE Ranking)

Best for: B2B SEO agencies already using or evaluating SE Ranking who want GEO bundled with traditional SEO in one platform.

Pricing: SE Visible standalone: $99/mo (200 prompts, 3 projects); $189/mo (450 prompts, 5 projects); $355/mo (1,000 prompts, 10 projects). SE Ranking Core with GEO: $129/mo. 14-day free trial (SE Ranking); 10-day free trial (SE Visible). No credit card required.

Key features: AI Visibility Tracker with daily monitoring across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity; SE Visible standalone strategic dashboard with brand mention trends, sentiment, citation analysis, and agency client reporting; full traditional SEO suite (rank tracking, keyword research, backlink analysis, technical audit, local SEO); MCP access and API; 30+ project management on the Growth plan.

Pros:

  • Best-in-class traditional SEO foundation (rank tracking, backlink, audit) with GEO layered in — strong value for B2B teams that need both surfaces
  • 4.8/5 on G2 across 1,371+ reviews with a 9.4/10 customer support score
  • 14-day no-credit-card trial removes evaluation friction

Cons:

  • GEO coverage limited to 5 engines — Claude, Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, and DeepSeek are absent, leaving gaps for enterprise B2B buyers who rely on Copilot
  • Pricing is confusing across three overlapping products: SE Ranking, the AI Search Add-on, and SE Visible
  • GEO-only B2B buyers overpay compared to dedicated citation-tracking tools

External rating: G2: 4.8/5 (1,371+ reviews); Capterra: 4.7/5 (284+ reviews).

Verdict: The top choice for B2B SEO agencies that want proven traditional SEO plus growing GEO coverage in one platform at a competitive price.

9. Knowatoa

Best for: B2B marketing teams and SEO consultants that want structured AI visibility support with a dedicated account rep and done-for-you content drafting.

Pricing: Starter $59/mo (30 questions, ChatGPT + AI Mode + AI Overviews, 7-day free trial, no credit card); Growth $199/mo (100 questions, all 7 engines, Looker Studio); Enterprise from $499/mo.

Key features: BISCUIT Framework reverse-engineering AI recommendations to explain why competitors outrank a brand; 7-engine tracking (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Perplexity) on Growth; AI Answer Snapshots with cached full responses and citation sources; source opportunity analysis identifying high-influence publications not yet citing the brand; done-for-you content agents on Growth; daily data refreshes on all plans.

Pros:

  • Dedicated account rep included on the $59/mo Starter plan — unusually strong support at this price for B2B teams without an in-house AEO specialist
  • BISCUIT Framework provides diagnostic depth beyond raw tracking, explaining the why behind B2B citation gaps rather than just reporting them
  • Free AI visibility audit with no sign-up required lowers evaluation friction

Cons:

  • Only 3 engines on the $59/mo Starter — Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity require upgrading to Growth at $199/mo
  • 30-question cap on Starter becomes a bottleneck quickly for B2B brands monitoring multiple products or market segments
  • No verified third-party reviews yet, making it harder to independently validate effectiveness

External rating: No public G2/Capterra rating yet.

Verdict: A strong mid-tier GEO tool for B2B teams that value hands-on support and a structured diagnostic framework over raw data volume.

10. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best for: B2B mid-market teams already using Semrush for SEO who want basic AI citation monitoring without changing their existing tool stack.

Pricing: $99/mo add-on on top of a Semrush SEO plan (Semrush Pro from $139.95/mo). Semrush One bundle from $199/mo. Extra domain: $99/mo. Extra 50 prompts: $60/mo.

Key features: AI Visibility Score benchmarking brand presence against auto-detected competitors; Competitor Research identifying prompts where rivals are cited but you are not; Prompt Research in a familiar keyword-research UX; Brand Performance reports with share of voice and narrative driver analysis; daily Prompt Tracking for up to 25 prompts; AI Search Site Audit flagging technical issues blocking crawler access.

Pros:

  • Integrates AI citation data with existing Semrush SEO data (keyword rankings, site audit, competitive research) in one dashboard — valuable for B2B teams already running Semrush workflows
  • Prompt Research mirrors the familiar keyword-research UX, shortening the adoption curve for B2B SEO practitioners
  • Covers 220+ countries for Prompt Tracking — useful for B2B brands with international pipeline

Cons:

  • True all-in cost is high — base AI toolkit ($99) plus required SEO plan ($139.95+) plus per-user and per-domain add-ons
  • Limited engine coverage (3–4 LLMs) misses Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot — both key B2B buying-journey channels
  • Cancellation requires a manual form, and Trustpilot shows recurring billing complaints

External rating: G2: 4.5/5 (3,911 reviews) — rating reflects the Semrush platform overall, not the AI Visibility Toolkit specifically.

Verdict: A practical GEO add-on for B2B teams already committed to Semrush, but too limited on engine coverage and too expensive at full cost to recommend as a standalone GEO investment.

How we ranked these

Tools were evaluated against five criteria weighted in order of importance for B2B buying-journey fit:

  1. Optimization workflow. Does the tool close the loop from a citation gap to actionable content that can win the next citation? Tools that stop at a monitoring dashboard score lower than tools that connect gap identification to brief creation, content production, and distribution.
  2. Engine coverage. The minimum bar for a B2B GEO programme in 2026 is ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. Tools covering Copilot, Claude, Grok, Meta AI, and DeepSeek score higher — B2B buyers are distributed across all of these, and BrightEdge data shows 61.9% disagreement in brand mentions across engines.
  3. Source attribution. Can the tool identify the specific URLs or domains that AI engines pull from when citing a competitor? Without this, a B2B team knows their citation rate but cannot diagnose or prioritise the fix.
  4. B2B buying-journey fit. Features relevant to B2B contexts: competitor benchmarking for category queries, multi-product and multi-market monitoring, account-level citation tracking, and the presence of the enterprise AI tools (Copilot, Claude) used inside B2B buying organisations.
  5. Pricing accessibility. Does the entry tier provide meaningful coverage for a B2B programme, or is the effective product gated behind an enterprise contract?

Rankings are reviewed and updated quarterly. Tools are not paid to appear. Scoring rubric and conflict-of-interest policy are at /methodology.

Decision guide

  • Use AthenaHQ if you are a mid-market B2B SaaS brand that needs explicit revenue attribution from AI visibility to GA4 or Shopify, and wants the highest G2-rated GEO experience.
  • Use Scrunch if you are an enterprise B2B brand that requires SOC 2 Type II compliance and wants to serve AI-optimised content directly to LLM crawlers via the Agent Experience Platform.
  • Use Peec AI if you are an agency managing multiple B2B client accounts and need unlimited seats and daily monitoring without per-seat fees.

  • Use Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit if your team is already committed to Semrush and wants basic AI citation monitoring layered on top of existing SEO workflows without adding a new tool login.

FAQ

What is a GEO tool and why do B2B brands need one?

A GEO (generative engine optimization) tool tracks whether and how a brand is cited inside AI-generated answers on platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — then helps fix the gaps. B2B brands need one because 73% of B2B buyers now use AI chatbots in vendor research, and 69% changed vendor selection based on AI recommendations. If your brand is not cited, you are off the shortlist before a sales conversation ever starts.

Which AI engines matter most for B2B buyer research?

ChatGPT and Perplexity handle the largest share of B2B vendor research queries. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are critical for branded and category searches on Google. Microsoft Copilot is increasingly used in enterprise B2B environments given its integration with Microsoft 365. Claude is growing in technical and developer buyer segments. A serious B2B GEO programme should track at minimum five engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot.

How is GEO different from traditional SEO for B2B brands?

Traditional SEO optimizes for ranked positions in a blue-link results page. GEO optimizes for citations inside AI-generated prose answers — a binary event where your brand either appears or it does not. Research shows that only 12% of URLs cited by ChatGPT currently rank in Google's top 10, meaning the two channels are largely independent. B2B brands need a dedicated GEO programme alongside traditional SEO to cover both visibility surfaces.

What metrics should a B2B team track with a GEO tool?

The four core GEO metrics for B2B teams are: citation rate (what percentage of tracked prompts result in your brand being cited), share of model (your citation share versus named competitors across the same prompt set), source attribution (which specific URLs or domains AI engines pull from when citing you — your most actionable input), and citation quality (are you recommended as a top pick, mentioned as an alternative, or simply named in passing). A good GEO tool reports all four with daily or weekly refresh.

How much should a B2B brand expect to pay for a GEO tool?

Pricing in 2026 ranges from $29/mo (Temso entry tier, 8 engines) to $399/mo (Profound Growth, 9+ engines) to $3,000/mo+ (enterprise annual contracts). For most B2B SaaS and mid-market brands, the practical range for a production-grade GEO programme is $29–$295/mo. Budget-stage monitoring starts at $29–$59/mo; a full monitor-to-execution loop with multi-engine coverage typically costs $99–$295/mo from dedicated GEO-native platforms.

Can a small B2B company compete in generative search against larger competitors?

Yes. LLM citation share is driven by content quality, structured data, entity authority, and citation by high-influence sources — not by company size or domain authority alone. A B2B brand with well-structured FAQ content, consistent brand entity information across the web, and citations from authoritative industry sources can outrank larger competitors in AI answers. GEO tools help identify exactly which sources are driving competitor citations so smaller brands can target the same high-influence domains.
